I should be able to see a place for myself in the CIPR, whatever that looks like for me and however I'm able to engage. -
Do I feel part of the picture?
I should see myself reflected in the stories the CIPR tells and the issues it champions on behalf of our profession. -
Do I feel this helps me?
I should feel the value of membership in my work today, tomorrow and wherever my career takes me. -
Do I feel part of something?
I should know I'm part of a professional community, with people I can turn to for support, practical advice or simply someone to talk things through with. -
Do I feel heard?
I should know my views matter, what I say is taken seriously and how what I share helps shape what happens next.
Because belonging isn’t created by accident
What we need from our professional body will change as our careers, our lives and our profession change. What matters is that the CIPR continues to have a meaningful place in our professional lives through it all.

These commitments bring together the essence of what I set out in my original candidate statement, along with what members and volunteers have shared with me throughout my campaign.
If elected, the distinction is simple:
